Business Strategy & Strategic Management

Business Strategy is a business plan defining the company vision, the strategy and tactics that will enable the company to reach objectives, the resources required, and how they are going to be obtained, what the main milestones and steps are along the way, who is responsible for causing each step to occur, what are the company's business risks and external factors that need to be kept under review for indications that a change in strategy or plan may be required.

Business strategy is a set of analytic techniques for understanding better, and so influencing, a company's position in its actual and potential marketplace.

Sustainable Competitive Advantage is the focal point of corporate strategy. It allows the maintenance and improvement of enterprises competitive position in the market. It is an advantage that enables business to survive against its competition over a long period of time.

The strategy management related to the customers, competitors and the company or organization. Company must become competitor-oriented. Company must pursue the right competitive strategy to avoid strengths of competitors and look for weak points in their positions and then launch marketing attacks against those weak points.

Visions and Missions are to achieve the desired objective of company business and as a guide for company drive towards corporate objective.
Corporate Vision must be a short, succinct, and inspiring statement of what the organization intends to become and to achieve at some point in the future, often stated in competitive terms.

A business must have of its goals before it sets out to reach them. It describes aspirations for the future, without specifying the means that will be used to achieve those desired ends. The statements should be short, easy to understand, be focus, create motivation and has dream or future aspiration.

Mission is the way to achieve the vision and the reason for being or why do we exist. A mission statement is an organization's vision translated into written form. It makes concrete view of the direction and purpose of the organization. It is a vital element in any attempt to motivate employees and to give them a sense of priorities. A mission statement should be a short and concise statement of goals and priorities.

SWOT analysis is a strategy development tool that matches internal organizational Strengths and Weaknesses with external Opportunities and Threats. SWOT analysis helps us balance idealism and pragmatism, and obtain a balanced perspective of internal strengths and weaknesses and external opportunities and threats to develop an effective strategy.

SWOT Analysis is the Key Component of Strategic Development. It can prompt actions and responses. SWOT analysis is a tool that helps many businesses in this process.

Meanwhile, TOWS matrix is the step to generate and select strategies statements and strategy planning to define the objective, strategy, measure and key performance indicators (KPI) which would be implement into company businesses.
